The FPDFC2 is part of the group of versatile FLATPAK products from Radio Design Labs. The unique FLATPAK case can be directly screwed or bolted to cabinets or shelves. Optionally available rackmounting accessories permit single or multiple FLATPAK module mounting. All FLATPAK modules are supplied with a power interconnect cable for daisychaining multiple modules from a single power supply. The FPDFC2 is the ideal choice in many applications where an SPDIF source must be connected to AESEBU professional digital audio equipment. The digital input and output connections are made on the top panel jacks. Power connections are made using either the fullsize barrier block terminals or a dc power jack located in an end panel. A second dc power jack is provided on the other end panel for connecting additional FlatPak modules. Three jacks are provided for SPDIF inputs Phono, BNC and Optical. The BNC jack can also receive an AES3ID signal. Any one of these input jacks may be used. The AESEBU output connects through an XLR jack. The electrical output is transformer isolated. The input signal is decoded and reassembled in the AESEBU format. All header information common to both SPDIF and AESEBU standards is inserted in the output data stream. Matrox Convert DVI can be used with any progressive DVI device as your input source such as a medical or industrial camera, an iPad or iPhone, or a computer at any resolution. It's a DVI to SDI converter. Once configured using the unit's PC- or Mac-based user interface via a USB connection, the control computer can be disconnected. Thanks to its input detection feature, Matrox Convert DVI is ideal for conference environments, where presenters come up to the podium with their laptops just a few minutes before their presentations. Regardless of the input resolution, Convert DVI will automatically output at the desired, pre-programmed resolution. Matrox Convert DVI accepts your computer's stereo audio output. The audio is routed to the RCA audio output of Convert DVI for monitoring and is embedded into the SDI signal. Audio and video synchronization is maintained throughout the hardware processing chain. Matrox Convert DVI provides a full complement of outputs including HD/SD-SDI, HD/SD analog component, S-Video, and composite. Your choice of analog output and the SDI output are simultaneously live. In addition to its digital and analog outputs, the user interface of Matrox Convert DVI provides a live preview window that can replace a cumbersome external preview monitor. Many newer computers and devices such as iPhones or iPads have HDMI outputs rather than DVI outputs. Matrox Convert DVI can be used with these devices via an HDMI to DVI adapter that you purchase separately. In the case of iPhones or iPads, you will also need an Apple Digital AV Adapter.
